Vasia Makris is the founder of Moments. a creative agency working at the intersection of art, culture and technology. With creators and community at its core, the agency partners with artists and brands to create meaningful experiences that connect, inspire and impact, from exhibitions and activations to brand collaborations, fundraisers and large scale events.

Most recently, Vasia launched Moments. Gallery, a contemporary art space embedded within the lobby and lounge of Dream Downtown in New York City. Through a curated mix of physical installations and digital displays, the gallery highlights how technology interacts with and expands traditional art, with rotating exhibitions featuring international artists.

After leaving her full-time career in education to pursue entrepreneurship, Vasia quickly found herself building at the forefront of contemporary art, culture and emerging technology. Her work spans event and project management, curation, exhibitions, community building and artist relations. Over the years, she has worked on projects and activations with global brands, institutions, athletes and cultural figures including Christie’s Auction House, Lincoln, Chevrolet, Dream Hotel Group, Ice Cube’s BIG3, Mario Chalmers, Trevor Jones and Emanuele Ferrari.

With her unique journey as a female founder, Vasia continues to pursue speaking engagements around the world. She aims to not only advocate and educate, but also inspire others to dream big, think outside the box and chase their passions.
