Founder and Illustrator of Lucia Diaz

Lucia Diaz, a first-generation Colombian-American, founded LUCIA DIAZ, a Latina-owned business that creates high-quality illustrations to empower and honor Latinas. Her artwork is intended to provide cultural representation and pride, allowing mujeres poderosas to see themselves represented in the world.

Lucia firmly believes that Web3 can be a tool for change and has donated the proceeds from her Mujeres Collection to Casa Hogar Nazareth, an orphanage in Medellin, Colombia. Her grandfather, Jose Manuel Arias, was an orphan but also a fierce leader in his rural community of Abejorral Colombia. Upholding the value of community over the individual, Lucia believes that we need to help our communities thrive in Latin America and not forget where we come from.

As an internationally exhibited artist, Lucia has showcased her Mujeres Collection in Colombia, CDMX, and NYC. She is a speaker who focuses on the art of Latina representation and has served as an exhibiting artist, speaker, and moderator for the Latinas in Web3 panel at NFT NYC, where she showcased her work. Lucia collaborated with major brands in Web3, including Latinas in Tech x Korbel, to launch the Luminarias collection, which illustrated 30 Latinas in STEM to bring awareness to the lack of representation in the tech workforce; only 2% are Latina.

Lucia champions Latina artists and works to provide them with opportunities to showcase their talents internationally. By promoting the exhibition of Latina art, she aims to establish Web3 as a platform where these artists can thrive. Through her art and advocacy, Lucia inspires others to pursue their goals and dreams.
